The Spiderwick estate. I used a couple of springtime location photos of the site and built up an autumn version of the scene, adding leaves
and trees, and finally a multi-layered painting of the house, so colors and textures could be changed till approved. The image was completed
2 months before the set was complete, and ended up looking remarkably like my painting.
