Welcome back to my website after a long hiatus. I had a very busy 2 years, and I’m looking forward to more exciting film projects.

April 2008

• Neato! Some new stuff added to the site! Now you can see some of the designs and illustrations from more recent films. I had to wade through quite a bit of stuff to narrow it down to a few choices, although for Stranger Than Fiction, I’m actually missing a whole bunch of designs - the back-up seems to have disappeared. Stay tuned for limited edition custom posters of several of my illustrations, including my War of the Worlds painting, and three new images based on classic retro sci-fi.

February 2008

• Stay tuned for an upgrade to my site in mid-March, with lots of new images from The Spiderwick Chronicles, as well as a few new goodies! You can also get a sneak peek at some of my Spiderwick illustrations in the latest issue of Perspective magazine, the journal of the Art Director's Guild. Meanwhile, there are some new images in the Personal Work section. This year there will be a lot of my images in print, so I will be adding links to those books as well.

August 2007

• Hey, I'm back after an intense 5 months of working on the 3rd installment of The Mummy.



• In September, come see me in person! I'll be doing a presentation at the ADAPT 2007 Conference in Montreal, Sept. 26th, on creating concept art for feature films. You can read all about it here. Look under "Programs", then "Exploration" after the intro pages for a description. Hope to see you then!

March 2007

• 300 is finally here! After a year of waiting, all that hard work has paid off in a visually stunning film. I have a .mac site set up with my artwork from the film, but just have to find out what the permissions are before I launch it.
  
  The weird thing is that my name did not appear in the credits of the film - a major disappointment, considering all the work I put into it. I hope that's corrected for the DVD at least. I did over 60 full color concept illustrations, plus I was interviewed for the special features and had work featured in the "art of the movie" book. You'd think they'd find room for my name somewhere.
  
  I'm going to work on The Mummy 3 as concept artist for the next 6 months, and hopefully take a little break after that.

January 2007

• Happy New Year, everyone! I'd like to announce that the book "300: The Art of the Movie" is officially released, with a whole bunch of images by yours truly. It's mostly available at comic book shops and bookstores, (January 10th for Indigo Books) but much easier to get at Amazon.

December 2006

• The Spiderwick Chronicles is pretty well wrapped, I'm now working on Leatherheads, the new George Clooney film. I am very pleased to be doing keyframe illustrations for this feature - I greatly admire the work of Mr. Clooney, and it's a pleasure once again to be working for the brilliant production designer Jim Bissell. What a year it's been!

November 2006

• Stranger Than Fiction is in theaters now, and is really worth seeing. I designed the watch animations, and worked on early concepts for visual effects.
  
  
• I’m currently working on the Paramount feature film The Spiderwick Chronicles as illustrator and concept artist.
  
  
• 300 looks like it’s going to be huge! A lot of the shots in the trailer look just like my concept illustrations, so I’m very excited about that! When it’s released, and permissions granted, I’ll have a new section, or perhaps another website just for the artwork of this film.
  
  
• Silent Hill is now available on DVD. You can see a few of my matte paintings here.
